Myself and my family love this ice cream maker. I've made my own ice cream as well as using a pre-mix liquid and they both work. The mix-in selection works well too. We love the way you can turn the ice cream into a soft serve if you choose. I haven't tried all the functions on this yet but I am excited to try them.
I love my Ninja CREAMi. My children have allergies and therefore are restricted with shop-bought ice cream, however I can make healthy alternatives for them using this wonderful machine. Another added benefit is it's great for making protein-dense and reduced-fat desserts for dietary needs. Easy to make ice cream and I love experimenting with flavours. Downside: requires 24hrs freezing and it's a bit loud, but cleaning is easy.
The pistachio ice cream I make with the CREAMi is every bit as good as the gelato shop down the street. Incredibly creamy, and the kids go crazy for it. Great buy for the summer.
Wasn't sure if this would be easy to use, however it arrived promptly as usual and not only discounted but with extra containers free. The recipe is simple to follow and provided you keep a container with mixture rotated in the freezer there will be a non-stop supply of frozen treats from any of the programmes. Shop-bought ice cream can be used if in a hurry. It is noisy, however only for two minutes, so worth it. Grandchildren love it (as do we).
I admit to being slightly sceptical – would we actually use it, was it really worth it – and the answer is yes to both! The freezing process is simple and you just need to get in the habit of refilling each time, then you always have something ready to go. All members of the family love it – the ice cream just feels so very special and luxurious that you get to make it at home. Last words from a friend of one of my children who was here for a sleepover the other weekend, who as he was leaving said 'you do ice cream really well' – compliment indeed.
I use it to make protein ice cream after the gym: banana, protein powder and almond milk, freeze it, and the next day I have a creamy, healthy treat. Perfect texture every time – way better than the overpriced protein ice creams at the grocery store.
